seem and appear

Decide which option suits best to complete the sentences.

FUCTION:  

Seem = to describe a perceived condition.

Appear = to describe an observable condition. 

FORM: 

1) Subject + seems/appear + that + complement = It seems that she´s upset. 

2) Subject + seem/appear + to infinitive + complement = She appears to be crying.

3) Subject + seem/appear + adjective + complement = He seems angry since last week.
