Use the conjuctions to complete the sentences

Conjuctions can be used to express contrast, time, condition, reason and result. In each group below complete the sentences with suitable conjuctions. Use each conjuction only once. 

Contrast:           -However                 -Although              -Despite                -even though 

1. I can´t speak much French, I can understand a lot. 

2. I can´t speak French well. , I can understand most things.

3. He can´t speak French well, he lives in France. 

4. living in France, he can´t speak French. 

Reason and Result:           -such...that              -so        -As        -since          -because              -so...that         

1. I didn´t sleep well last night, I´m tired.

2. I´m tired I didn´t sleep well last night.

3. I wanted to go, but it was late I decided not to. 

4. John can´t be here today I´ve been asked to chair the meeting.

5. He always looks innocent he gets away with murder. 

6. He´s a terrible liar no one belives him. 

Time:      -when       -while          -as soon as           -until          -after            -since

1. I called you  I could.

2. He refused to talk to the police his lawyer arrived.

3. I feel sad  I hear that song.

4. Their house was robbed they were on vacation.

5. I´ve known her I was a small child. 

6. I´ll help you with this exercise I´ve had dinner. 

Condition:       -If          -as long as          -unless            -in case

1. I´m going to be late, I´ll call you.

2. You won´t pass you work harder.

3. Take an umbrella it rains.

4. You can borrow my car you drive carefully.
