First conditional
Change the verbs in the following sentences into the correct form.
Remember that:
- we use the First Conditional to talk about future events that are likely to happen.
- FORM: If + Present form + Future form
- Note: Future forms include the future simple, future continuous, future perfect simple and future perfect continuous. Examples.
- If they don't study, they will fail the exam.
- If my boyfriend doesn't call me, I'm going to call him.
- If he doesn't get the job, he will have done all this work for nothing.
- If we don't finish the course this year, we will have been studying for ages.
- The if-clause may come first or second in a statement; this clause will be separated from the result clause by a comma (,). If the result clause, on the contrary, comes first no comma is needed.
