Roomates

I live in Guanajuato almost the whole week and weekends, so I am more in contact with my roommates. We don´t eat at the same time because each one of us works at different places and study different careers, so it is difficult to find the time to eat together. However, the times we have coincided we talked about how our life is going on.

Our lives are often filled with superficial talk, from office chit chat to comments about television. On the other hand, we also have conversations that inspire us to think in new ways, that stimulate our curiosity and that prompt us to trust eah other. We share our difficult situations about work and school. When we know that someone of us is having a bad time we try to support her.

I can notice that when we eat together, we share our food. Every time one of us is eating we ask the rest if they want some. About houseworks it is completly different the way we live together than the way we live with our families. Each one of my roommates washes her dishes, we can eat at our bedroom if we want and most of the time we turn on the computer, so we can listen to music or watch a movie while we are eating.

I like to live with my friends but I also miss my family.
